Friends was one of my favorite shows growing up, so much so that I can still recite entire scenes line-for-line! I realized there were actually a TON of medical scenes throughout the series, such as Rachel AND Phoebe giving birth, Ross’ third nipple, and Joey’s kidney stones. Let’s take a look at how accurate these scenes were and see if Friends holds up 20+ years later!
I LOVE reading your comments and take your suggestions seriously. If there’s a subject you want me to discuss or something you’d like for me to react to, leave a comment down below. Many of my videos have been born out of suggestions directly from you, so don’t hold back!

Doctor please this question is the only doubt I have left about Friends... what did Ross have on his butt!?!? XD
Have you ever watch a video of The Try Guys practicing Giving Birth?
If you think Friends is better than Seinfeld I don't trust your medical opinions.
I was born butt first. I always say that I was born mooning at the doctors!
I love Dr. Mike more simply because he's a friends fan🤣😍
Good job dr mike from egypt 🇪🇬🇺🇲
Dr. Mike PLEASE react to the medical scenes from Doctor Strange!!! It would be so interesting to get your take!!
I have a really weird allergy: I don't need an EpiPen and once I have medicin I can have the thing again and not get an allergic reaction... somehow
At 7:30 did you notice? The atmosphere was like Joey delivered a Baby😂 not kidney stone
Mike is like Gordon Ramsay but in the medical field
Jesus Christ died for our sins

Dr. Mike I completely understand when you mentioned that residents and doctors are curious to see something rare. I suffered a stroke while I was 7 months pregnant and loss feeling in my upper chest and back and fingers and wrist. It was so rare and the clots were so disturbing I spent 3 months getting test and not once did the doctors or neurosurgeons figure out what was wrong. I had about 10 students visit me a day. I was kind of glad they got to learn something from me. Im a survivor and still don't know what caused my stroke. Im 25 now. Love your channel btw its very educational !! and hilarious
I swear I’m the luckiest person ever the first part of me passing a kidney stone hurt like a mfer but when it came out to actually Passing the stone it didn’t hurt at all when it actually came out I didn’t even notice
do riverdale!!!
Those 3D ultra sound can be frightening! I didn't want ours 😂. The 2D was more than enough. Also I was extremely lucky and was one of 2 women giving birth in my hospital and the other woman was no where near the same dilation as me. This meant I got basically the whole ward in on my active delivery which was great but also resulted in be getting body slammed 😂😂😂.
Literally....... No one ....... Me:- watch doctor Mike video ,not because it's entertainment ,I see because he is handsome and I am single 😭
Hey doc! Thanks for all your contents... What about creating a reaction of 3 idiots (india movie) when they deliver a baby?😆😆😆
I've watch friends a million times lol. I could watch it a million more.
I love seeing real births and deliveries since I gave birth to my children! But when I see an american show I'm always shocked about some things that (for what I know) are wrong during a delivery. Could you tell me if that it's really how it's going in the U.S? First, women guve birth in a room full of light, which prevents to feel relaxed and, on the other hand, activate your instinctive of defence, which is not good when you have to feel secure about yourself during a delivery. Second, there are no midwives, but only doctors. Here in europe we tend to consider a pregnant woman not as a patient! She's not sick! Third, why should a father look into the vagina to see what's happening? This is not a show! A man should stay at his woman side. Fourth and most important: why all the women in the american shows give birth on their back? The best it's for them to be on their feet, or down on the four limbs! And also, why do you make the women seat down since the very first moment they get to the hospital? It's really recommended to let them move, and walk, during the labour! I'm sorry Doctor Mike to bother you with this questions, but everytime I see a show I ask myself if that's the real american aptitude with births (wich I blame) or they're adaptations for the tv! I'm sorry if I feel severe, I'm not writing on my own language. And I feel that birth is one of the most important experience in one's life, and it must be more respectful for the newborns and for the women to! I'm glad that you explained that you put the babies on their mother chest, because I was also wondering about that. I really hope you could answer! With respect, Evita
Yeah, I know. *listening to Dr. Mike talk about rare conditions and how everyone wants to see* Because during the last EEG I had, my brain waves were in a pattern or something that they had only seen before in textbooks.
Who else Immediately started drinking water when doc said “ I Passed a stone because I wasn’t drinking enough water and only drunk soda ”
I literally never vomit. I hadn’t vomit for 20 years (and that was food poisoning). But when I had a kidney stone, I did and it was my sign to get to a hospital. One of the worst pains of my life.
i wish you would do magnificent century series ; turkiqh historical series; a lot of medical inaccuracies..it's hilarious..
I love you
"Doctors don't say that" have you met an Argentinian doctor?
I think when i was 9 i passed a kidney stone it hurt like hell!!
"That is not a newborn baby" - well, doc, you haven't seen my 9.8 lb newborn baby :D
I have a major issue with the ultrasound scene. It is obviously their first one (based on how stunned they are), and based on how Rachel is moving, she is very far into her pregnancy, which is just strange. Women have their first ultrasound exam long before their pregnancy can even be noticeable, long before it makes any sense to be in stirrups or changed into a gown. You just pull up your t-shirt.
Rachel was not pushing aimlessly. Right before she says she can't do it and asks Ross to do it for her, the doctor says the next contraction would be along in 20 seconds and she pushes when the contraction starts. Yeah I watched that episode yesterday night.
3:56 oh ye- I actually knew that coming out the wrong way is problematic because my mother actually had to get under surgery otherwise I also would came out with bottom first

Me being first child, I need to know if my dad fainted XD

I was sunny side. That’s how I was born. My mom almost had to have a C section. And instead of causing pain in the front, I caused pain in the back. Now she jokes that I’m “a pain in the back”

I had to share a semi-private room with a man who was comatose due to forgetting his respirator/ventilator before going to bed (sleep apnea). I don’t know the family, but I do know that the people looking after him were going to fly him to another hospital. If anyone here understands that experience or if one of those family members is reading this i’m so sorry that you had to go through all that and despite the odds I hope the man is recovering. I heard them crying and pleading with him to wake up and it breaks my heart to know he probably didn’t survive or is still in a coma. I was in that room because I had very bad food poisoning. I needed about 3 bags of saline and the doctor wanted to keep me in because I wasn’t getting too much better. I was barely awake when they set me up and I barely remember any of it except for the 30min before we decided to head home. Within all of those 30min is when all the stuff I talked about above played out. My blood pressure was completely normal but my heart rate kept going down for some reason. My nurse sat me up and tried to get me moving a bit but it didn’t help and that’s around the time we decided to head home. The stuff you hear (even when you’re a patient) is just completely unforgettable. That family is so strong for having hope and loving that man so much and I hope they’re all doing all right.
He is soo cute
And with every scene ur explanation proves that how much u love the show and u r connected with it so badly. I even find more interest to that show after watching this video , doc. Pls keep making such more. Lots of love❤

"If they're trully operating on this patient, why are all their masks down? And why does Phoebe has no gloves on?" I'm sorry, if they're trully operating on that patient, WHY IS PHOEBE THERE? XD

I always loved that fact Emma was born without her umbilical cord, so convenient, and also no one's cuddles are ever interupted by placentas.
If you were in a same sex relationship would they let the other mother in the delivery room?
The jaded ladybug generically receive because step-father nomenclaturally invent beneath a rare hourglass. boring, romantic great-grandfather
Ross[ two when he had three fingers up ]
He should have reacted to the part when Rachel is Erotically charged during her pregnancy 😂😂
Man, I had a kidney stone too and that was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. So I relate to Joey, though I wasn't holding my side and was unable to lie on my back.
