Doctor Reacts To Scrubs QUARANTINE Episode | Medical Drama Review
Four months into quarantine and I’ve been watching a LOT of medical shows. Most of them have actually done an episode surrounding how their hospital handles a viral outbreak. Today I’m diving into Scrubs Season 4 Episode 16, appropriately titled “My Quarantine”, to see how JD and the team handle a rumored outbreak of SARS.
I LOVE reading your comments and take your suggestions seriously. If there’s a subject you want me to discuss or something you’d like for me to react to, leave a comment down below. Many of my videos have been born out of suggestions directly from you, so don’t hold back!

Not just hospital staff after cake. Care home staff too 😜
Dr Mike should react to The Division and the "dollar flu"
The doc: we eat a lot of unhealthy food for countering stress Me:😂 try game industry
Dr. Mike, could you do the season 5 Scrubs episode 'My Big Bird'? It follows a morbidity and mortality conference.
What's the name of the cake he mentioned in beginning?
6:04 wait other people do this too..?
I mean, right there in the episode it's explained clearly that he wanted to sound like a big shot and a badass so he suspected it might be SARS so he could sound super important and like he caught on to a dangerous disease. I dunno, I haven't seen this episode in years and I still remember that. That's how clear it was.
As much as the medical accuracy of this show is questionable, and it was after my medical show obsession (E.R and House were my jam), I really like the interpersonal aspects of this show. It's clearly exaggerated, but I can imagine a less dramatic version of this in a real hospital. Levity can go too far in a hospital setting, no doubt, but the humour in a hospital setting really makes me feel safe.
I LOVE PHILLY FLUFF!!!!!
That pillow looks like it just left an intense surgery
Hey I just saw this episode and my family lives in NJ near philly, my dad is 60 and has never heard of Philly fluff cake so I told him I would ask you where we should go to get some? Thanks! (Tastykakes are my LIFE! LOL)
Plssss react to hospital playlist
The patient had been to Hong Kong and JD uttered SARS without thinking, that's all.
Because it’s cake with a face on it??
There's a Medical-based Interactive Story on Choices (it's an app) called "Open Heart" ... would you review it?
6:11 His accent just went *THICC* 💀
I watched this a second time just so Dr. Mike can ask "WhY iS iT CaLlEd FaCe CaKe?" 😂
Some say he still doesn’t know what Face cake is
A real patient after a heart ♥️ attack wouldn’t just pop up and yell I’m alive lol 😝. I totally agree with the eating 🍽 totally unhealthy in a medical setting because I’ve work in medical settings a long and I’ve seen and yes guilty of being part of it. And I can say the bad food 🥘 taste so good, but in moderation not so bad. I think 🤔 it’s called “face cake 🎂 “ because it has the person’s face on it.
I'm a nurse. We LOVE treats. I cannot understate the amount of crap I ate that families brought in to us. I love Christmas!
to be fair this episode came out when people thought sars was gonna be the next pandemic. They had to put a dash of hollywood in there.
Pls react to greys anatomy covid episodes
Dr Mike: *chest compressions*Chest Compressions*CHEST COMPRESSIONS* Also Dr Mike: wtf why are you doing chest compressions?
I work at a Animal hospital and we always end up getting chocolate from clients and we love it but CHOCOLATE in an animal hospital! Scary 😱
Can you please do the quarentine episode of Station 19? It was so similar to covid
In the dermatological clinic I work at anaphylaxie is the one thing our doctors are very good at. Apart from that most of them know how to act in the typical emergencies. As long as there is some emergency equipment they act pretty well. Granted some of them need very much guidance and assistance from us (the nurses). But I think that is more a personal or experience thing.
You know scrubs isn't a documentary right...
Scrubs is usually very accurate im the depiction of CPR. The Shocking here is used because JD want's to impress the girl.
This episode will be discussed on Fake Doctors Real Friends! HAHAH I am genuinely looking forward to it!
Mike is saying you DON'T do chest compressions?? Wow I thought we always start with chest compressions.. Code blue? CHEST COMPRESSIONS! Unconscious? CHEST COMPRESSIONS! Unresponsive? CHEST COMPRESSIONS! Stubbed toe? CHEST COMPRESSIONS!!!
At 0:58 my mom is a nurse and she bakes whenever she bakes brownies she bakes two amounts of brownies and she brings one to her night shift and it gone in the morning
3:33 can someone explain?
Please watch the episode "My Lunch" I want to ses how you react to it.
that accent tho!! luv it!
Facecake... Hmmm, lsd
Alternate title, "Doctor takes jokes literally for 10 minutes but is still informative and cute so it's all good"
This episode with mikes info on chest compressions really threw me off
Also, it is called face cake because it has her face on it
He shocked the guy with his shirt and jacket on....... oh man!
His laugh is adorable 😂😂😂😂🥰🥰
This dude is amazing !
Scrubs is a legendary medical show. Is there even a person that doesn't know Scrubs? haha i hardly believe it. 😂❤️
Please watch & react an episode of "Doctor Romantic" !!!!! It a popular South Korean drama. Pretty pretty pleaseeeeee
That's such not the right "covid" related episode. I think every Scrubs fan has been thinking at the episode my cabbage ( s 5 e 12) since covid started. And it's such a great episode too.
@ Dr. Mike : You can probably try to review the series 'Diagnosis'.
U should react to Chicago med
U should recreate to Chicago med
Name twins
You should do SCRUBS season 5, episode 20 -my lunch
“we’re in quarantine” oh no, dr “rules are for thee not for me”, you aren’t
I’d would love to see your reaction to season 6 episode 15 “My long goodbye” It was one of the episodes that had me balling like a baby.
don't you mention jds fashion ever again like that! I take personal offense as a similar dresser
Dr. Mike talk about properly opening the air way when you have to ambu the patient.
He was showing off to his date.... you gotta lean more about JD. Doctor Mike I love your videos, but I don't think you understood that this entire episode was supposed to be FAKE. It was all JD acting like a hero to get the girl.
Make sure you sunscreen atleast 2 cm under your clothes to account for clothes moment when your being active and playing
You do realize he is faking comprehensions within the fabric of trying to impress the girl. It’s supposed to be extremely fake to accentuate the comedy.
Dr. Mike cares too much about looks.
Scrubs... where 2 RNs work in the WHOLE hospital. MDs do EVERYTHING.
Lol he’s right about the unhealthy food. Working in the ER, everyone eats out, or if it’s the cafeteria, chicken tenders/fries is a favorite. You have a few health nuts.
hmmmm Doctor Mike or English essay due tomorrow? ...Doctor Mike.
SARS-CoV-2 CoVee. Co is corona V is for virus, Co Vee.
Bruh Dr Mike is that buff dude from Guardians of the Galaxy that doesn't get sarcasm or hyperbole lol
“Dermatologist which is greek for fake doctor” lmao 😂
I got isolated for the flu once and they just put a sheet of paper on my door 😂
Bad take
I'm not a doctor or nurse, I am not even studying to become one. But I did a part-time job in a hospital before (just serving the patients food and cleaning staff lounge and kitchen) and at least once a week a nurse or doctor brought candies, cakes and other unhealthy snacks with them to the lounge for staff to eat. It's so true.
There is a face on it.
Looked at doctor google: Fatigue, fever, malaise. Mononucleosis! I mean, with symptoms _that_ specific, what else can it be?
Man you gotta watch “my screw up”. One of the best episodes.
I take exception to the assertion that a pathologist couldn't perform lifesaving medical procedures on a person during an emergency on an airplane. I worked in the grossing room, pathology lab, and morgue. Not a pathologist, but as an assistant, and all of the pathologists and pa's were trained as doctors, went through med school, and later chose pathology as their specialty. And as someone who was elbow-deep in body cavities right along with the pathologists performing autopsies and diagnosing living patients, I can tell you...they know the human anatomy and disease pathology better than most emergency physicians and internists, and know to adequately perform not just basic life-saving procedures on an acute patient, but could perform more invasive emergency procedures, if absolutely necessary, to save a patients life. On an airplane. While in flight. Using just a steak knife and a pen. So there. The dermatologists....that's another story, and I'm totally with you on that. On a side note....more ER, and House!
Wish you’d do a video like this reacting to night shift on Netflix I absolutely love the show but think it would be funny to see what you say about it
FACE CAKE IS CAKE WITH A FACE ON IT DANG
Need this guy on Fake Doctors real Friends to bring him down a peg or two, there's a line between comedy and reality dude
LOL I love how Dr. Mike's trigger is chest compressions.
Why am I watching a dr struggle to understand a comedy show?
I was a cardiac monitor tech for 12 years, it always bugs me that they get the heart rhythms wrong!♥️😂
ebany kompot. just realized he's russian american. our falk is everywhere^^
Dental hygienist here (on long Island 👋), but the amount of candy/sweets we usually have in the break room is nuts
00:54 is so accurate 💀😭 i work at a nursing home and the staff bring in sweets and junk food or energy drinks to celebrate anything and everythinggggg every other day is a food day 🤣
Since we're watching quarantine episodes, could you watch s34e43 of Casualty?
Everyone’s talking about the face cake thing, but I freaking love the reaction to JD’s outfit in the beginning. 🤣🤣
Fun fact if you didn't know: Zach Braff who plays JD grew up in South Orange, NJ and in high school was a cadet at the South Orange Rescue Squad. My dad trained Zach to be an EMT and was his actual first aid and CPR instructor. There's a Scrubs poster in the South Orange Rescue Squad signed by Zach that says, "Thanks for teaching me all I know about the medical field." I know being an EMT is not the same as being a doctor but I still thought it would be fun to know!
We stand doctors like Dr Joseph
Someone needs to teach my dude about suspension of disbelief
Please watch the scrubs episode “My Lunch” it is my fav episode
oh gosh dude i know you are awkward from being in medical school for so long and as youve said you're sometimes really bad at understanding jokes/sarcasm, this entire show is like one big skit almost NOTHING is serious ur being a buzzkill
You don't trust any?
I love Scrubs and would watch Dr. Mike react to the entire series, legit.
That was the POINT of Scrubs. Great show!
So dr Mike, if you were gonna fake dealing with a pretend heart attack, wouldn’t immediate chest compressions be the perfect response?
It's a mover, don't overthink it.
Mike: trust is the foundation of any good relationship Me with trust issues: ah i get why i’m so lonely now-
Regarding unhealthy snacks, I was born in the early 1950’s and over the years I’ve noticed that fewer and fewer doctors and other medical staff smoke. Maybe some day unhealthy snacks will go the same way. Just saying...
You should review season 5 episode 20! It's really good!
Mike: trust is the foundation of any good relationship Me with trust issues: ah i get why i’m so lonely now-
Baby Dr. Mike looks so much like Noah Wylie when ER first started.
the lawyer in scrubs (Samuel Lloyd Jr.), died from corona virus a while ago. im so sad for him. R.I.P
Anyone realized COVID- 19 is made from CO- rona VI- rus DI- sease 19
i already know that since the name came out.
I assume you figured out what a face cake is. Bakeries and Bakery departments can print anything on a cake, now. I was told it's like an inkjet printer set up with food gels of printing colors, and it prints out like printing on paper.
Scrubs is one of my all time favorite shows. Doesn't matter that it isn't accurate. You need to watch more. Especially the episode where it starts out with JD sneaking Turk into the theater.
