  • Feb 3, 11 cases. Boy how things have changed since then, eh doc? Science and medicine has learned so much more, and even how to reduce transmission. Trump on the other hand mobilized a scared population that can no longer tell truth from lie to pressure states to open. And the Trump administration did not make it economically viable to remain home for the rest who did understand the danger. Americans are in danger of losing everything cause they are on their last dime. But Trump sure did take care of his donors. They gave millions and got billions in return. Hell of an investment, no? America, my heart aches for you. We in Canada frankly should be the ones building a wall at our borders.

  • Now it’s recommended to wear face masks to protect yourself, YOU spreading misinformation probably caused more ppl to become susceptible to the virus. And for that I think your disgusting.

    AmyAmy9 kuukautta sitten
    • I don't think he spread any misinformation. The masks can't protect you from the virus. It's basically just practicing proper hygiene, not touching your face and social distancing. People bought a lot of surgical masks since the beginning, which made them go completely out of stock in many places and the prices went up; which might have led to the ones who were affected and the healthcare professionals without any! On WHO's website it asks people to only wear masks when they're coughing, sneezing or have covid-19.

  • how is a Rnaught of 3 anything like that of the 1.3 that influenza has.. one is an almost linear spread the other is massively exponential

    Thenas88Thenas889 kuukautta sitten
  • I do hope CDC can encourage people to make their own masks (if they are concerning about running out of supplies). This can protect others and reduce the spread (at least as a barrier)! Because now no one knows who has the virus. It would be too late when you notice the symptoms. There are several videos about how to make your own mask (which is better than none, and not impacting the supplies for hospitals): Most asian countries (Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, etc.) use face masks, while western countries don't, and suffered much more!

  • 8:15 19 mil infected, 180k hospitalizations, 10k deaths in US this flu season. Ive seen italian flu deaths between 15k and 40k but only 240 officially recorded. Want to remember these numbers and compare them to covid-19 when the true numbers come out. Remember, how are these statistics made? Most with flu just stay home and don’t say anything unless very very sick. Same with covid-19 probably.

I do remember you said that the source was possibly from bats or snakes in the last COVID video you did. I know you aren’t a vet, but I’m not sure if the source you got your information from included exotic pets- like reptiles and other uncommon animals. I’m especially worried about my mouse as I know they are able to get infected with a lot of human viruses like influenza.

  • At the hospital I work at, our phrase is "to prepare for the worse but hope for the best" so we made a ton of early precautions when we only had 2 cases in my state of Michigan. Now we're at a point where breweries are gonna be making hand sanitizers, the auto industry will be making more ventilators, and tailors/people who like to sew will be making face masks at home. This isn't the best circumstances but any help is better than nothing.

  • I think coronavirus is a scam to mess with the world economy if what (WHO) the world health organization says is true about the common flu. According to them last year 650,000 people worldwide died of the common flu. That is an average of more than 54,000 people per month every month. So far in the past 2 months about 10,000 people died worldwide of coronavirus. So why is the coronavirus causing panic worldwide? Isn't it coincidence that China started this virus and their economy is barely crippled while the rest of the world's economy, especially the US are screwed big time? Have you guys noticed the chaos this is causing in the stock market? I think Trump is being played by China.

    mikek2337mikek233710 kuukautta sitten
    • mikek2337 finally someone has noticed this. I found many coincidences in this pandemic. I don’t really get why worldwide governments take a lot of action due to it. I feel like there is something that they hide from us, either because it’s political game or covid 19 is way more dangerous than everyone says. This is so crazy to think about.

  • How long till someone who has the virus is no longer contagious? A girl at work has tested positive, she has been out of work since last Wednesday. A girl in the same office took off for 3 days because she was sick and came back to work today because she "feels fine." She was not required to get tested by the owners. I have no proof that she actually has the virus, I'm assuming since she shares a office with girl who has tested positive, but I'm worried she's still contagious because she came back to work so quickly.
